Seat: The Centre has its offices at the building ex-IPAI (Abandoned Children Institute), situated in the residential area of Mercogliano (Av), a small town far away to Naples 51 KM. Structure of the building: The building belongs to the Avellino Provincial Council and it has been given by Malzoni family; the Centre is dedicated to Dr. Fiorentino Lo Vuolo, famous personality in the Public Health Service ( he has been member of the Board of Directors of the National Cancer Institute of Naples- Fondazione G. Pascale and Administrative Director of the Local Health Authority, Avellino 2). The Avellino Provincial Council provided to the aseismic updating of the building and, gratuitously, it has done the structure to the National Cancer Institute of Naples that restored it thanks to the financial support. Moreover, it has been possible organize 4 research laboratories ( Biomolecular Analysis, Molecular Biology, Cell Cultures, Genetics) and a conference room. Organization and management: According to the Resolution of Campania Regional Council and to the Convention among the Institute, Campania Government and Avellino Provincial Council, the National Cancer Institute of Naples Fondazione G. Pascale I.R.C.C.S. (Scientific Hospitalization and Treatment Institute) under the direction of CROM’s General Manager, oversees the organization and management of the Centre. Purposes: - CROM excludes any charity work; - It performs research activities in oncology pre-clinic molecular pharmacology and technological transfer; - It is opened to researchers of high professional qualification of any nationality and to the Universities, Research Centres, public and private, regional, national and international Authorities. - It invests on the human capital, operating on the replacement and staff’s mobility, supporting the return of young Italian researchers who productively work abroad; - It favours the high level training and the professional updating. CROM doesn’t oppose to the similar structures which it intends to cooperate with them giving services and high technologies on the area. CROM functions as centre of coordination with structures operating on the national and extra areas. The managerial operating system is public-private, where to the public is ensured the governance of the system opened for projects to the privates; in this way, in a kind of managerial experimentation, CROM wants to contribute to strengthen the system of innovative research which involves all Mediterranean. The results, will be moved to the practice and to the productive services.

It’s starting up a “Learning Organization” in which Knowledge and Learning are related. Moreover, it is used a website for the scientific information. Research activities and learning are related to the Learning Management System. The conference room can accommodate 80 guests.
